Auto Shipper

What is the first impression you get when you hear the words auto shipper?  Do you immediately think of a person who automatically moves ships or do you think of someone who ships automobiles wherever you want as long as it is part of the route of the company in question.  If you thought it was the later then you are correct.  An auto shipper is a company that transports automobiles nationally and internationally.

So why would someone want to use the services of an auto shipper considering a vehicle can be driven to its destination therefore becoming financially cheaper to transport?  Well that of course is solely up to the person who desires the services of a transport company.  The reasons for using an auto shipping company may have a lot to do with location destination.  That is, if you live thousands of miles away from where you are moving to it may mean you taking a few days to arrive at your destination, in which case you would prefer to fly.  Now the fact that you have a vehicle you do not want to sell means you need to get it to the destination also.  Another reason for needing the services of a transport shipping company is because you are moving to another country, or it could be as simple as you purchasing a vehicle in one state and having it shipped to your home state.

Because auto shipping and transport is commercial, you will find that you will be involved with car dealers, manufacturers and brokers unless of course you go looking online.  With the move towards IT technologies and an explosion of internet access for many users, websites have now been developed to cater to this niche market.

Prior to the worldwide access to the internet, most people would approach a car dealer to purchase their vehicles due to the difficulty faced in transporting a vehicle from the place of origin to its new destination. Even though there were freight businesses available to people, there were generally expensive and were not seen as very cost efficient.  This was due to the fact that freight was based on weight and if it was a specialized vehicle then it would incur higher costs.  Charges were also based on distance and any other addition that may be required.  Because of this the only ones using this service were those who could afford to purchase and transport their vehicles outright.

Auto Shipping Quotes

You have finally got the long awaited promotion you have desired now for the past few years and with the promotion is a move to a new city, miles from home.  You do not mind the move as it represents a new beginning and you love new beginnings, and it matters not that you are leaving a warmer climate for a colder one after all you have always wanted to live up north.  You have decided to sell everything you own except of course your car.  You have also decided to fly to your destination simply because the drive would be such a long one taking a couple of days of which you really do not want to do.

Once established, you realize that you need to get your car to your new destination but have heard so many scary stories about transport companies breaking things or losing stuff you are really sceptical about whether or not to use a transport shipping company or maybe pay someone to drive your car for you.  You finally decide that paying someone to drive could be much more dangerous as opposed to sending by a mediocre transport shipping company.  In the end you decide to browse online sources to see what is available and hopefully find a good reputable company that has been doing this for many years and has a good customer service feedback.  You also notice that the services offered are both domestic and international, and since you are moving domestically, you need to find a company locally who can cater to your needs.

Now that you have found the right company for you, the next step is to find out whether or not they have free auto shipping quotes and if so what you need to do to access it.  You will find online sources that provide free quotes for shipping transport. In fact you will find that the majority of sites offering transport shipping services also have direct access to you getting a speedy quote from whichever company the site is representing. Check them out and see what offer they have to give. You will also need to determine whether you require over-land or sea transport services.  Of course this option will be made easier if you are moving interstate away from any ports, thus showing over-land transportation is the preferred medium to use.  Whatever you decide remember quotes are free.

Automobile Shipping Companies

When it comes to shipping vehicles from one place to another, you want to make sure that the company you use is reliable, trustworthy, dependable, affordable and safe and that they have a quality guarantee assuring that your asset will arrive at its destination without any mishap, and if there is the company is acknowledging liability.

So what do you look for in good automobile shipping companies?  Well to start things off you need to see what kind of reputation the company has and what other clients or customers have to say about the services provided.  You will also need to check out locality and availability to ensure you are able to use their services. This will also include the working hours of the company.

Another aspect to check is to see whether or not the advertised company gives you an in-depth into how they work, what is involved in their delivery services, whether or not there is insurance involved and how much, whether there is tracking systems implemented and if there is access to contact them. You will also need to find out what their price policy is so you will need to check out the terms and conditions of the company. Another aspect to check out is to see whether there is any free vehicle shipping quotes and if there is what you need to do to have a free quote done.

Another aspect to be aware of and is of great importance and that is to be aware of car shipping scams, which is why you need to be very careful when you scrutinize a transport company to ensure they are not a scam.  If you want to check if the company and its site are scams be very wary when the company requests you send money in advance to cover shipping costs of your vehicle.  You may even be suckered into thinking they are legit because the company has sent a cheque to purchase your vehicle but then ask you to send the shipping costs back to them via Western Union. Watch out also if you are being offered vehicles below the market price and never deal with a company that you cannot talk to on the telephone.

You will also find sites where a free quote to ship your vehicle are available, but they themselves do not actually ship vehicles. Instead they will help you with a free price quote from many vehicle shipping companies offering you the best choice.  In this instance, you will be required to fill in a form with a few details about your shipment and you will then be contacted back with rates on the same day.
